Duct type tubular resistances are a type of electrical resistances used for heating processes in many industrial applications. These resistors usually involve a wire resistor placed inside a metal or ceramic tube taking the form of a coil. Duct type tube resistors are used to heat the surrounding environment in which the tube is placed or to heat the pipe through which a fluid (liquid or gas) passes.
There are some common uses of duct type tube resistors. Application areas include:
- Industrial heating: These resistors are ideal for heating liquids or gases, using them in the chemical industry, food processing, petrochemical and other industrial processes.
- Air and gas heating: Duct type pipe resistances are used in similar applications to heat air or gases.
- Industrial furnaces: Different types of industrial furnaces use channel-type tubular resistors for drying, firing or sintering materials.
- Plastic processing machines: Plastic extrusion machines and similar equipment uses channel type tubular resistors to melt or process plastic materials.
- Chemical reactors: Channel type tubular resistors can be used to meet the heating requirements in chemical processes.
There are many different types of this type of resistors that can operate in the desired temperature range and are made of durable materials. Additionally, the sizes, shapes and power capacities of these resistors may vary depending on the application. Therefore, expert advice and an engineering approach that takes your requirements into account is often required to select the right duct type tubular resistor for a particular application.
These type of heaters are easy to install in the duct due to their modular structure.
Suitable for operating conditions up to 780ºC.
There is a 1240ºC isolation enclosure in the junction box.
Control is provided with a K or J type thermocouple.
Each heater can be easily replaced separately.
Manufactured up to 500 kW power
Our optional high amperage terminal block is used in electrical connection.
